SPE has approved the establishment of a Digital Media Supply Chain (DMSC)Agile Squad in order to drive a holistic vision for SPE’s end-to-end digital media supply chain by acting as the point of integration between different teams across SPE that touch the DMSC, spear-heading DMSC transformational initiatives, promoting studio-wide adoption of DMSC best practices, and facilitating cross-divisional collaborationThe DMSC Agile Squad will work under the direction of a squad sponsor and steering committee comprising of the senior most leadership of each business and technology function at the studio. The ED Digital Media Supply Chain Systems and Workflow will be responsible for providing holistic analysis of the systems that comprise SPE’s DMSC and the workflows they support to ensure alignment, integration, future readiness, and maximum value delivery in accordance with the DMSC Roadmap and guidance of the DMSC Squad Leadership.

  • Providing subject matter expertise and advice on industry best practice in shaping and developing DMSC roadmap
  • Providing technical subject matter expertise on day-to-day project work to ensure DMSC projects are delivered on time with anticipated benefits on track for delivery
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies, providing story updates in Jira, and providing benefits reporting
  • Leading investigations into DMSC current state and opportunities through structured interviews, systems analysis, data analysis, education, technical onboarding, and industry research
  • Supporting the business planning and implementing recommended DMSC enhancements, systems, outsourced solutions, and workflow improvements
  • Participating in industry forums, supplier demos, and other industry activities to ensure constant awareness of industry trends and best practices

Education, Years of Experience, Specialized Knowledge or Skills Required:

  • Experience participating in Agile technology or operational program
  • Demonstrated understanding and alignment with core principles of our DMSC vision
  • Demonstrated ability to support individual squads in planning/identifying incremental steps toward larger DMSC roadmap
  • Working knowledge of Post-Production, Distribution, and Archival workflows
  • Have a pulse on the state of the industry, solutions available on the market, and the viability of potential solutions
  • Must have published or presented to a recognized industry body such as SMPTE or HPA
  • Must have experience successfully developing cost savings/value generation initiatives within the DMSC, including workflow, technology enhancements, or implementation of operational best practices
  • Experience supporting media systems/workflow development for a post-production or media facility, has deep knowledge of post-production processesor deep understanding of media systems and the workflows they support
  • Experience in successfully facilitating major change management initiatives such as policy or standards adoption, migration onto new technology, or establishments of centers of excellence
  • User focused, UX focused with a pragmatic approach to problem solving within the digital media supply chain
