This position is primarily responsible for providing financial support to Corporate groups. This includes but is not limited to the preparation and review of the forecast and budgets, providing financial support for various initiatives, as well as assisting with ad hoc requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sr. Manager with preparing, reviewing and submitting the annual Budget, Quarterly Forecasts and Mid-Range Plan for Corporate groups. This includes consolidating, ensuring the successful load into the BPC integrated planning module, analyzing variances, holding discussions with the line of business management and assisting the Sr. Manager with preparing decks to be presented to Executive Management. (40%)
  • Provide financial support for Corporate initiatives/projects.  This includes assisting the Sr. Manager with building and updating business cases/financial models, working with Project Managers to understand the financial impact of their project, assisting the Sr. Manager with preparing decks for management review, etc. (35%)
  • Monitor & maintain monthly financial activity for Corporate groups.  This includes researching and preparing monthly variance explanation reports addressing the key overhead, balance sheet and headcount fluctuations, preparing detailed ad hoc requests when needed (ie specific line item analysis), advise on cost center structure & reclasses when needed. (10%)
  • Maintain professional working relationships with SPE line of business management and 3rd party vendors in order to share information needed to update financials as necessary. (5%)
  • Assist the Director & Sr. Manager with various tasks on an ad hoc basis. (5%)

Qualifications/Skills

  • Preferred Years of Experience: 4 to 6 years
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and international financial reporting standards
  • Skill in SAP & BW, BPC, strong Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills, financial modeling skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and take strong initiative, have strong follow-through skills, complete tasks with minimum supervision, work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Follow through with commitments to the business
  • Effectively communicate financial impact of business decisions
  • Continuously identify business opportunities for the groups being supported
  • Think outside of the box to effectively resolve issues
  • Promote innovative ideas
