We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented IT Manager to lead and oversee the management of a critical application that facilitates the theatrical distribution process for a major film studio. This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, optimization, and continuous improvement of the application, which serves a global user base and involves collaboration with onshore and offshore development teams. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the theatrical distribution life cycle, exceptional technical and managerial skills, and the ability to function as both an IT manager and a solution architect.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the theatrical distribution application, ensuring its stability, availability, and performance across global operations.

  • Oversee the application's architecture, design, and overall functionality to ensure alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and propose enhancements to the application.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to onshore and offshore development teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards and design principles.

  • Participate in technical discussions and problem-solving sessions to ensure the quality and reliability of the application.

  • Utilize your solution architect skillset to design and recommend innovative solutions that address complex business challenges and improve efficiency in the theatrical distribution process.

  • Leverage your in-depth knowledge of the theatrical distribution lifecycle to drive improvements and optimizations within the application, enhancing the overall efficiency of the process.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of the application and to address any technical issues or concerns.

  • Proactively identify areas for improvement within the application, processes, and workflows, and drive initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Manager, Solution Architect, or similar role, preferably in the entertainment or film industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred

  • Expertise in the theatrical distribution life cycle and its associated challenges.

  • Strong technical background with proficiency in software development methodologies, architecture, and technologies

  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and geographies

  • Experience working with global and distributed development teams

  • Previous experience in managing critical applications with a global user base is highly desirable

  • Project management skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment

The anticipated base salary for this position is $115,500 - $156,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
