Sony Pictures Entertainment Global Procurement is key contributor across the studio and is comprised of the following teams: Sourcing, Procurement, and Travel.  All teams collaborate to help guide the businesses to preferred strategic suppliers and/or established buying channels to drive compliance to procurement and business strategies.  This department is full of fast-paced, highly energetic individuals that thrive on making a difference to the company. 

The Manager, Contracts Analytics will lead the development and implementation of a holistic source-to-contract system leveraging the Sirion Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Simfoni Spend Analytics/eSourcing platforms. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, with the capability to handle an array of tasks across contract management, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Experience with Agile methodologies is essential to drive the continuous improvement of contract processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of the Sirion Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system in coordination with the software vendor.  After implementation, lead the management of the CLM, supporting all system processes of a contract lifecycle from request to execution. 

  • Lead the design of the integration between CLM and Simfoni Spend Analytics, eSourcing, and Tail Spend Management solutions to create a comprehensive source-to-contract system.

  • Provide end-to-end contract operation support across finance, procurement, legal, regulatory, and information security teams, including contract creation, retention, mining, and compliance.

  • Interpret contract data to derive insights and drive improvements in operational efficiency, using Agile methodologies, including contract cycle time, spend under contract, contract avoidance, and consolidation of spend with preferred suppliers.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance in contract operations, with an understanding of the specific regulations impacting our industry.

  • Apply change management skills when implementing new processes or workflows related to the CLM system.

  • Interface with corporate and line-of-business legal counsel for additional support as necessary.

  • Maintain and distribute contract policies, templates, and playbooks, ensuring alignment with online and CLM instances.

  • Partner with IT, Legal Operations, and other business units to meet legal requirements and act as the subject matter expert for the CLM tool.

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the CLM vendor and manage the contracting workflow, including ticketing, self-service contracting, redlining, approvals, signature, and archiving.

  • Develop and implement process improvements to create efficiencies, facilitating cross-functional stakeholder participation as needed.

  • Maintain metrics and reports related to contract processing and compliance, leveraging Agile methodologies for continuous refinement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, BA or BS.

  • 5-8 years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, ideally in the entertainment industry.

  • Extensive working knowledge of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software and capabilities, ideally Sirion, and demonstrated ability to quickly learn new CLM systems.

  • Track record of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of an organization.

  • Strong ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of demands under tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize work, process and analyze information, and solve problems quickly.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with effective interpersonal relationship management.

  • Familiarity with different types of agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and supplier agreements.

  • Demonstrated experience in risk management and data privacy.

  • Proficiency in using computers and software such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-awareness, integrity, authenticity, and an impact-player mindset.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • J.D. preferred.

  • Experience with Simfoni or similar spend analysis platforms.

  • Experience implementing a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.

  • Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.

  • 2+ years of project management experience preferred.

  • Proven experience applying Agile methodologies in a business context.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $94,500 - $125,200. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
