REQ ID JR23-11179 Apply View Saved JobsThe Coordinator, North American Distribution Research is part of a dynamic and data-driven team that supports the distribution and monetization of film and television content in the U.S. and Canada. Distribution Research spans all platforms of television: Network, Cable, Broadcast Syndication, SVOD, AVOD, transactional and other digital platforms. This is an important role that will be physically located in Los Angeles but will provide support for SPT business efforts across North America. It requires high levels of adaptability and flexibility, the ability to multi-task, excellent communication and strong time management skills. This position will report to the Senior Vice President of North American Distribution Research, but will be responsible to partner with all members of the Distribution Team (not limited to just research) and be able to coordinate with all other research teams with the Sony organization as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate within a cross-functional research team, as part of a larger North American Distribution team, as it supports of all functions of SPT Businesses
- Collect, consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality
- Provide strong, clear, impactful analyses to uncover and communicate content, industry and consumer insights across SPT
- Help create sales presentations for all platforms of SPT Distribution and Advertiser Sales
- Project Management and Support, as business needs, department and individual workloads dictate
- Deliver verbal and written insights to team and clients
Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1+ year professional experience; in media and entertainment a plus
- Experience using data and analytics tools successfully in a business environment
- Able to distill and effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely in writing and presentation
- Must be highly-adaptable and flexible, highly-organized, able to multi-task: coordinate and prioritize multiple workstreams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to and work well with others
- Comfortable working in a matrix environment
- Proactive, problem-solver; able to anticipate next steps for business needs
- Must be highly-detailed, reliable and always maintain data integrity
- Must be curious, ask questions, driven to find answers / solutions and able to produce alternate workarounds when necessary
- Familiarity with television, media metrics and methodologies across all platforms a plus
- Familiarity with non-linear, digital and social media a plus
- Familiarity with Nielsen Ratings and products and systems a strong plus
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Tableau, Google Analytics and Omniture also a plus
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
The anticipated base salary for this position is $49,300 to $60,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
