REQ ID JR23-10026 Apply View Saved JobsThe Senior Financial Analyst, Distribution FP&A is a key member of the Worldwide Distribution FP&A team, primarily involved in consolidation and analysis of quarterly forecasts, annual budget, multi-year strategic plans, and ultimates.
Responsibilities:
- Lead consolidation and analysis of the financial budgets, quarterly forecasts, and multi-year plan utilizing submissions from regional teams to understand commercial and market trends and their impact on the forecast
- Conduct variance analyses to discern performance drivers in a complex industry using data and commercial insight from regions and clearly communicate to upper management
- Aid in development of global reporting, including dashboards, to provide value-add insights
- Review monthly actual results and concisely explain variances against forecasts, tracking trends and identifying areas to improve forecast accuracy
- Analyze Features Ultimates and prepare greenlight recommendations for International Home Entertainment
- Manage certain “Home Office” forecasts such as FX, NPV discounts, Retransmission and Ancillary Fees, alongside general maintenance of Essbase system
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly CFO presentations and ad hoc analyses
- Collaborate with global FP&A, IT, and Commercial teams to optimize processes
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate analyses into decisions and actions
- Solid communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with other Office 365 applications (SAP, Power BI, Tableau a plus)
- Experience working with financial statements and large data sets
- Self-motivated with high standards and attention to detail, along with an excellent work ethic
- Independent worker and able to manage multiple deliverables
- Continually searches for opportunities to improve internal processes
- Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
- Experience in any or all of 1) transforming legacy manual processes into integrated digital/automated processes; 2) data intensive models/forecasting; complex/intensive analytical analysis
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience
- Related industries are a plus
- BA/BS degree (Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other analytical disciplines preferred)
