The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allow you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities while on the lot. This Spring Internship is from January through end of May and all candidates must be able to work between 15-29 hours a week (flexible based on school schedule).
Conveniently located on the Westside of Los Angeles, Sony Pictures Post was built with the utmost concern for filmmakers by experienced post production professionals. One of the largest full-service post production facilities in Southern California, we offer Academy Award-winning talent, fourteen state-of-the-art mixing stages, a world-renowned scoring stage, three ADR stages, three Foley stages, four sound design suites, sound editing rooms, picture editing bays, mastering suites and complete film and video transfer services. World-class capabilities include Avid S-6 and Harrison platforms, Dolby Atmos and Auro 3D immersive sound formats, IMAX mixing and 3D projection capabilities, IMF mastering, 4K/HD HDR/SDR mastering, as well as complete connectivity between mix stages, sound editorial, picture editorial and mastering suites.
Sony Pictures Post works on a wide variety of film and television projects, from blockbusters to lower budget independent films, television series and made-for-television movies and some of the most memorable scores in entertainment history. We are looking for an intern to join our team for the Spring season to learn all about post production sound.
Spending time within the post sound editorial team shadowing talent, and gaining information and experience to help start a career path with the team. Meet with management team weekly to discuss what they have been observing and enhance overall sound editorial skills
- Relevant work or education in post sound
- Must be proficient in Pro Tools Software
- Involvement in relevant sound editing projects through school or internships
- Previous experience in an office setting working with sound teams
- Undergraduate student studying in post sound editing and able to work part time hours while in school
- Knowledge of post-production services
