Sony Pictures Entertainment is a worldwide leader in creativity and innovation. It encompasses motion
picture production, acquisition and distribution; television production and distribution; television
networks; digital content creation and distribution; operation of studio facilities and development of new
entertainment products.

GSA GFO Statutory and Tax function is a new separate function within the SONY’s GFO Model, set up in
2020. Territories in scope are Germany, Austria, and Switzerland within which it covers these LoBs:
Theatrical, Home Entertainment, TV Distribution, TV Production and TV Networks.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Be part of the GSA Makeover Project Team to catch up with legacy activities in the areas of statutory accounts,
statutory audit, CIT, VAT and external reporting, especially in:

  • Preparation of Statutory accounts for the GSA companies within Excel, SAP and One Source in conjunction
  • with GFO RTR and Divisional Finance Teams and related accounting
  • Co-ordination of information, requests and timescales with GFO Towers and the external auditors on
  • Statutory Audit
  • External reporting to various government institutions (Bundesbank, Statistik Austria)
  • Assistance in the preparation of VAT Returns and related accounting
  • Supporting in successful transition of Project Boulder activities
  • Collaboration with RTR, OTC, PTP, CIM Towers and external advisors (Deloitte, EY, PwC)
  • Support in standardisation, improvements and documenting department processes and workflows within
  • the Statutory and Regulatory environment
  • Responding to, analysis and resolution of queries on the financial information, including account reconciling
  • items, to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately
  • Other ad-hoc financial information and analysis

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES YOU NEED FOR THE JOB

  • Strong verbal and written English language skills
  • A minimum of three years of accounting experience
  • Appreciation of US GAAP, IFRS standards knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • SAP ECC essential
  • S4HANA knowledge is a plus
  • Good organizational skills, mindful to see both details and end-to-end process
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team player
  • Ability to contribute to a collaborative & transparent
  • work environment within the team and with multiple
  • stakeholders
  • Ability to learn on the go, be flexible and open
