General Summary:

Reports directly to B2B Marketing Director of Sony Pictures Television, Latin America. The Marketing Manager is responsible for providing B2B marketing support to various business: Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Television Distribution, Sony Pictures International Production, Sony Networks (Sony Channel, AXN, Sony Movies) Ad Sales and Affiliate Sales, and emerging business.

The position requires the ability to understand how the Sony Pictures Television businesses in Latin America operate. This role helps support the strategic marketing plans for each business and execute according to the needs of our pan regional clients and offices in Miami, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Bogota, Chile, Panama, and Peru. Capitalize on and localize all of the marketing and resources provided by the international marketing team based in Los Angeles.

The B2B Marketing Manager will focus on creating and executing pre and post-sale marketing strategies for TV Distribution and International TV Production, new and library TV series, feature films and original productions, SPT Networks, B2B promotional activities, and special events to support Ad Sales, Affiliate Sales, and emerging business. The role is responsible for the implementation and execution of these strategies by leveraging functional marketing areas including creative services, publicity, on-air/off-air, and support teams Finance and Legal.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating innovative and strategic content presentations in order to support pre-sales efforts for TV Distribution, International TV Production, SPT Networks, and emerging business for new and existing content.
  • Provide post-sale marketing support to all clients in the region by providing or creating assets, as well as offering publicity opportunities alongside LATAM publicity team, DA & BI, promotions and B2P ideas that might contribute to the successful performance of the content.
  • Ideate, propose, and facilitate the execution of multi-platform marketing strategies for content acquired by clients in order to generate added value to both SPT new releases and library product (e.g., feature films, U.S. television series, music concerts, original productions).
  • Work with supervisor and internal creative team in the creation of all promotional and marketing assets for International TV Production IP in Latin America, during pre and post-production phases (e.g. creative brief, key art, promotional elements, publicity opportunities, show positioning documents, research sales presentations, etc.)
  • Work alongside Events team to create, plan and execute promotional strategies surrounding industry trade events such as NATPE, Discop Miami, L.A. Screenings, Mipcom, Mip Cancun, Ad Sales & Affiliate Sales UpFronts, and other U.S. based events, etc.
  •  Work alongside Marketing Director to support SPT Networks partner relationships: Ad Sales & Affiliates Sales Reps by pitching content priorities and delivering B2B Marketing strategies that support business growth.
  • Manage third party vendors and agencies, provide direction and supervision to all ongoing marketing projects
  • Foster and maintain the business relationship with all trade outlets in LATAM region.
  • Manage adequately and coordinate the delivery of all marketing materials for International Production & Acquisitions such as photography, loglines, synopsis, product sell sheets, logos, brand assets, for our B2B website for client support.
  • Manage department Budget to adequately reflect expenses across LATAM region & report monthly to supervisor(s)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent project management skills and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills are required, as well as the ability to anticipate and direct the next steps needed in varying categories
  • Must be a self-starter and a resourceful individual
  • Must be a strong team player
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized to perform efficiently
  • Advanced Power Point and Key Note presentation skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook, Advanced Adobe Photoshop
  • Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English required; Portuguese a plus
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and negotiating skill
  • Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity
  • Enthusiasm for the industry and the business coupled with a “can-do” attitude
  • Must be able to manage their time wisely and efficiently
  • Must be comfortable using MAC & PC computer programs

Experience:

  • Minimum of five years of Marketing experience required (entertainment experience preferred)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree is required (Marketing and/or Communications, Business Administration preferred)
