PROGRAM DETAILS:

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This Summer Internship is from May/June through Sept. 1st (start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules) and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This is not a remote role. A hybrid work option may or may not be available. 

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Sony Pictures Television Advertiser Sales (SPTAS) and Game Show Network Advertiser Sales (GSN) is a fully integrated sales organization, representing a variety of television shows and cable networks, as well as branded entertainment opportunities. Within branded entertainment, SPTAS sells digital/social sales opportunities. SPTAS also works closely with Sony Pictures Television Distribution as well as Sony Pictures Television Research. Game Show Network Advertiser Sales is sold in tandem with SPTAS and focuses on the game show vertical as well as other cable channels including Sony Cine and Sony Movies. Game Show Network also distributes FAST Channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The internship will have potential exposure in the following areas including: ad sales, research, traffic, distribution, and branded entertainment. Potential responsibilities could include: supporting the sales team by prospecting for new advertisers, pulling and analyzing research reports, inputting schedules, supporting the direct response team, and working with the branded entertainment team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

All candidates must be currently attending an accredited four-year college. They must maintain a positive attitude and be flexible working with various departments within ad sales, distribution, and research.  They should have passion in Ad Sales and some relevant experience whether class or internship

The anticipated base salary for this position is $17/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
