Pure Flix is the worldwide leader in selecting and streaming faith and family-friendly media that changes lives, inspires hearts, and lifts the spirits of members like you and those you love.We are seeking a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) who can grow and scale a world-class marketing organization and be part of the executive leadership team to take our company to its next level of growth. The ideal candidate will be strategic with strong operational capabilities, results and outcome-oriented, a creative problem solver, highly collaborative, and be able to drive cultural transformation within the business. The CMO will develop and launch scalable global processes that drive customer acquisition and retention, articulate a compelling story on the importance of faith-based entertainment and further elevate the brand in an increasingly competitive market.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support of the overall company strategy, develop the marketing strategy, the roadmap and plan for its execution, and own the execution of the plan.
  • Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for the team’s marketing initiatives and campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights that inform and inspire communication for strategic calendar and brand initiatives.
  • Lead a customer first mindset, developing a data informed position on who current and target customers are, and implementing strategies and tactics that help us acquire and retain valuable customers.
  • Create and implement innovative multi-channel acquisition strategies & campaigns via strong collaboration with product, content, and technical teams.
  • Lead and empower a high-performing, collaborative team of marketers across brand, performance, communications, social, content, product marketing, and lead generation. Drive vision and oversee efforts across these functions.
  • Provide ongoing tracking, measurement, KPI, and ROI analysis for the team’s marketing initiatives and campaigns to provide clear, actionable insights that inform and inspire communication for strategic calendar and brand initiatives.
  • Ensure the company has a coherent and consistent branding strategy.
  • Increase conversion rates and traffic across all channels.
  • Build engagement with content and reach new, diverse audiences.
  • Build a community around the Pure Flix service to enable organic growth and reduce dependency on paid digital advertising.

Job Requirements Include:

  • 5+ years experience as a CMO, including experience scaling a growing team, supporting C-level executives, and driving company-wide marketing strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in planning, managing, and executing multi-channel, multi-segment marketing campaigns
  • M.S. degree preferred.
  • Ability to define and execute a market research strategy to gain in-depth understanding of our customer.
  • Experience in a Video on Demand company is preferred
  • Advanced subject matter knowledge of traditional and digital marketing
  • Experience in delivering marketing messages though video, mobile platforms and social media
  • Dynamic leader with proven track record of leading organizations through significant change and growth
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and create best-in-class content
  • Proven leadership expertise with effective team building skills and conflict resolution management
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships with executive management
  • Solid research skills with the ability to stay ahead of current marketing industry trends.
  • Track record of being responsible for an annual budget with excellent performance metrics, driving compelling creative campaigns across digital channels
  • Intrinsic drive to roll up your sleeves and get things done, a self-starter, productive working independently or collaboratively
  • Team-player and builder who can execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment and startup culture; strong decision-maker with the ability to reorient teams and drive execution cross-functionally when priorities change or are ambiguous.
