This summer program runs from June to December 12th (start and end dates are flexible, based on school schedules), and all candidates must be able to work full-time hours (40 hours per week). Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 9 am-6 pm. This position is ideal for entry-level talent or recent graduates interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Our team sees projects through the entire development process from a pitch to a fully-written script through casting and attaching a director to production of a pilot to, in success, a series on air. Interns will gain experience in reading and analyzing incoming material. They will be exposed to writers, directors, and producers throughout the creative process. Interns may be able to join pitches, general development meetings, and will work closely with the entire comedy team.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reading and analyzing incoming material and new drafts for projects currently in development
  • Scheduling meetings with key players in the industry
  • Updating grids and status reports
  • Compiling research on properties for possible option and flagging talent to know
  • Covering phones, taking notes, and other general administrative duties


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrollment in an accredited college/university for the duration of the internship
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Good eye for creative
  • Passion for film/tv, with a particular interest in comedy


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate student studying in relevant field

The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
