Reporting to the Vice President, Ethics & Legal Compliance, this role is an integral part of the SPE Ethics & Legal Compliance department. With day-to-day oversight and input from the Vice President, this position is responsible for: 1) maintaining effective processes and procedures to achieve successful implementation of global compliance requirements designed to mitigate compliance risks; 2) leading the SPE Ethics & Legal Compliance department’s merger and acquisitions integration team ; 3) project managing the design, development, and ongoing operation of new compliance solutions designed to address evolving business and compliance requirements; and 4) collaborating with business teams and relevant cross functional stakeholders to undertake additional activities as needed to address compliance requirements globally.

Responsibilities:

  • With day-to-day oversight and input from the Vice President, Ethics & Legal Compliance, maintain effective processes and procedures to achieve ongoing global compliance requirements designed to comply with laws, adhere to the Sony Group Corporation Compliance Education Protocol, and mitigate company compliance risks, including all necessary processes and procedures to ensure successful implementation of: SPE’s Conflict of Interest program, including the Annual Certification Campaign and ad hoc disclosures; investigations related to SPE’s third party screening; due diligence programs for compliance with Sony’s Anti-Bribery and Third Party Engagement Policies and applicable laws; and SPE’s securities trading notification processes for designated individuals; and all other company Compliance Education Protocol requirements.
  • With day-to-day oversight from the Vice President, Ethics & Legal Compliance, lead the SPE Ethics & Legal Compliance department’s merger and acquisitions integration team to ensure implementation of all compliance requirements at newly acquired legal entities.
  • With day-to-day oversight from the Vice President, Ethics & Legal Compliance, project manage the design, development, and ongoing operation of new compliance solutions to address evolving business and compliance requirements, including but not limited to designing and developing an annual Compliance Week highlighting compliance initiatives at SPE.
  • With day-to-day oversight from the Vice President, Ethics & Legal Compliance, collaborate with business teams and relevant cross functional stakeholders to undertake additional activities as needed to address compliance requirements globally.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of compliance operations experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft One Note, WorldCheck or other risk intelligence and screening platform and CornerStone on Demand or other learning management system, preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in the Entertainment Industry is a plus

The anticipated base salary for this position is $77,000-$90,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
