Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry.
The Global Sourcing team supports seven key categories of goods and services across Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE). Categories include Technology, Professional Services, Corporate Services/Facilities, Travel, Marketing, Production, and Distribution. Sourcing team members are assigned a primary category but will work cross-functionally in an agile sourcing model as trusted advisors supporting enterprise-wide projects that drive value, cost savings, process improvement, and supplier excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Support Strategic Sourcing Initiatives - Assist in the development of sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality and risk across Professional Services category
- Data Analysis & Spend Reporting – analyze spend date, and market trends to identify cost saving opportunities and efficiencies. Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership review
- RFP Support – assist in evaluating proposals and conducting bid analysis
- Supplier Research & Market Intelligence – Conduct supplier and industry research to benchmark pricing, assess capabilities and monitor market conditions that may impact sourcing strategies
- System & Tools Management - Learn & utilize procurement and financial tools and system to generate reporting and conduct analysis
Qualifications:
- Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- Comfortable working with large datasets and performing financial analysis
- High attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadline
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
