Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for its next star in the Security Operations department at the Sony lot in Culver City. The Security Supervisor provides direct oversight and supervision to security personnel, shift leads, and vendor security managers. This person is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and updating security policies, programs, and procedures designed to protect the physical assets of Sony Pictures (SPE). This role is heavy operationally and is an in the field role. A key objective is to provide a safe and secure environment for all SPE guests, tenants, employees, vendors and contractors. 

Security Operations Support:

• Active and trusted member of the Security, Safety, Sustainability (S3) team, included in management-level meetings and discussions. 

• Develop and maintain positive relations with company stakeholders and external partners.

• Lead from the front and command all responses with security or emergency incidents.

• Respond to and manage all security needs and calls for services; works with other Security team members and local law enforcement as necessary.

• Train, counsel, discipline, evaluate and supervise Security personnel in accordance with SPE’s Global Security Department's philosophy and policies.

• Oversee management of the hours of all Security Officers and Supervisors in the department, including 24-hour Security staff and event Security staff.

• Proactively enforce SPE policies and procedures, ensuring timely response and follow up to incidents.

• Work with internal departments in managing events, guests, and tours under constantly changing lot environments.

• Constantly assess the security and safety of the lot as well as the readiness of the guard force to ensure best in class protection of our assets.

• Direct knowledge of security systems such as CCTV, Fire Control, radio communications equipment, elevators and lighting controls.

• Work closely with the Sr. Manager to update policies and procedures, along with the Emergency Evacuation Plans on and offsite.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive and continual training program to ensure highly effective security guard force.

• Highly organized with an operational mindset with ability to deliver clear results and defined metrics.

• Supervises and serves as SPE Security POC for events held on the lot in support of event security management, including screenings and private events. Interfaces with internal and external partners to ensure a consistently high level of customer service is maintained.

• Support Anti-Piracy scheduling/screenings as needed.

• Be readily available on-call and as needed in case of incident or event.

• Be an advocate for change and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors desired not required

• Certifications/Licenses: PSP desired not required

• Experience: 5-7 years min escalating security, law enforcement or military

• Knowledge: Security Operations, Security Systems, Event Security, Production Security, Security Guard Force Management

• Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, Security Operations Systems (TrackTik, Veoci, Lenel), Customer Service
