The IT Change, Configuration, and Compliance team is responsible for the governance and operational oversight of Change Management, CMDB (Configuration Management Database) functions supporting service delivery within the SPE IT division as well as IT control compliance with policies, standards, procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update Configuration Items (CIs) in ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate CI attributes, relationships, and lifecycle status.
- Support CI provisioning and onboarding, including creating new CIs, validating required fields, establishing relationships, and aligning with change records.
- Manage CI lifecycle activities, including updates, audits, reconciliation with discovery data, and proper decommissioning/retirement of CIs.
- Document and improve CMDB process flows, and assist in automating workflows within ServiceNow to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
- Contribute to innovation initiatives by developing custom GPTs and AI agent use cases to automate CMDB tasks, improve data validation, and support intelligent change impact analysis.
Qualifications:
- Foundational knowledge of ITIL concepts, especially Change Management, Configuration Management, and CMDB lifecycle processes.
- Basic understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, applications, databases, cloud environments, network devices) and how they relate to each other.
- Strong analytical and data accuracy skills, with experience in documentation, data validation, or maintaining structured records.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience or coursework in ServiceNow, including working with Configuration Items (CIs), workflows, or basic administration.
- Interest or exposure to automation and AI tools, such as scripting (Python/JavaScript), workflow automation, or experimenting with GPT/AI agent use cases.
The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
