Start and end dates are flexible. Interns must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) in person at the designated office location.

Our Trainee program is designed for recent graduates or those looking to make a career shift, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their professional development through immersing experiences in the entertainment industry. 

The Total Rewards team at Sony Pictures Entertainment designs and manages the company’s compensation and benefits programs to support the attraction, retention, and motivation of top talent globally. We partner closely with People & Organization Business Partners, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and leadership to deliver competitive, data-driven reward programs aligned with SPE’s business strategy. Our work spans annual compensation planning, base and incentive pay programs, long-term incentives (LTIP), global benefits strategy, reporting and analytics, and Workday system governance. We focus on ensuring programs are equitable, compliant, and operationally sound while providing meaningful insights that support business decision-making. As an intern/trainee, you will gain exposure to the strategic and analytical side of Total Rewards, including compensation analysis, reporting, data validation, and process improvement initiatives. You will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real projects that support the company’s global workforce.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in cleaning, validating, and transforming compensation-related datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support data extraction and integration from Workday and other internal systems.
  • Support the documentation of data sources, definitions, and processes.
  • Update recurring reports and contribute to the development of new visualizations to support compensation insights.
  • Gain exposure to compensation strategy, HR systems (Workday), and analytics best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Recently completed a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with data.
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable navigating data in Excel or other reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in Python for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with foundational AI concepts.
  • Familiarity with Workday or other HRIS platforms.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
