Sony Pictures Entertainment strives to create a premier People & Organisation team who support approximately 1000 employees across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), 600 across Latin America (LATAM) and 400 across Asia Pacific (APAC). The Total Rewards central team is based in our Culver City, Los Angeles office and the global offering at Sony Pictures is robust and expansive.
This role will be based in our Paddington, London office and will build on and continue embedding our existing C&B foundation, philosophy and strategy. In this role you will supports the compensation and benefits function for all our business entities across EMEA, LATAM and APAC including Theatrical, Distribution, TV Production, and Corporate. You will work with your counterparts in Culver City to ensure alignment with global regions and identify economies of scale wherever possible.
To be considered for this position you will be a thoughtful and proactive leader with proven experience in all areas of a C&B function. You will have a hands on approach and bring a deep understanding of compensation and benefits programs and practices. You should have a proven track record of conceptualizing and executing successful strategies, leading action plans, and driving the achievement of organizational goals. This role requires both strategic thinking and strong tactical execution skills, so you will also be comfortable working in ambiguity, enjoy new challenges and have high levels of curiosity. The role is evenly spread between compensation and benefits and manages two direct reports.
Key elements of the role include:
Lead delivery of a compensation and benefits function
Lead delivery of functional pay structure implementation project across all three regions
Lead the EU pay transparency directive roll out project
Overview accuracy of the compensation and benefits related data within the HR system
Support the annual compensation cycle process for EMEA ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market standards.
Maintain a strong understanding of market data and trends to drive best-in-class programs
Manage annual benefits renewals for EMEA and Open Enrolment cycle for UK ( inclusive of core and flex offering) and vendor management.
Run an annual program of wellness and wellbeing related events with focus on financial, physical, mental and social wellbeing
Manage retirement plans governance across EMEA with a focus on DC and DB plans across UK
Manage compliance-related activities and maintain documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements.
Partner with the P&O Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Teams to provide strategic advice on compensation and benefits.
Ensure EMEA compensation and benefits programs comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs.
Candidate Requirements
Extensive experience in Compensation and Benefits. Typically, at least eight years’ relevant experience in compensation, job architecture, equity programs, and benefits management & planning.
Experience of effectively delivering compensation function to support the company's business goals and growth, with a strong awareness of best practices.
Experience preparing and presenting to senior management and leadership stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in performing complex reporting and analysis. Strong analytical, statistical, and conceptual skills; Excel expertise is required.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
A global perspective and the ability to work with diverse audiences and cultures, adapting style in order to effectively communicate.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and collaborate across all levels
Excellent problem-solving skills
Demonstrable self-awareness, adapting to ambiguous situations to deliver against organisational goals.
Excellent business and People Operations acumen, comfortable navigating ambiguity.
