The Director, Diversity and Inclusion is a significant contributor to key functions within the People Experience (PX) department at Crunchyroll. This role will help drive Crunchyroll’s overall global inclusion strategy through enterprise-wide learning and development initiatives as well as leading and evolving the Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program. Under the direction of Director, D&I Corporate Programming, this role will also develop and deliver global D&I messaging and communications as well as strategically engage stakeholders to influence and advise on relevant issues.
Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for direct oversight and implementation for Crunchyroll’s global D&I strategy
- Manages all interactions with Crunchyroll’s Employee Resource Groups (ERG) - including providing guidance and development to the individual groups, oversees application with launching new groups in key regional offices and providing strategic updates to senior level management.
- Builds relationships with external organizations and communities to support D&I initiatives
- Oversees D&I partnership, sponsorship and event opportunities at Crunchyroll and externally
- Partners with L&D to identify opportunities to integrate inclusion, and cultural competence into new and existing learning sessions at all organizational levels.
- Ensures that programs are scalable, sustainable, and tailored to the needs of the organization.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of D&I programs and initiatives, providing regular reports to leadership on progress.
- Uses data to identify gaps and opportunities and adjust strategies to drive continuous improvement.
- Partners with Corporate Communications and PX Strategy Team to create and market Crunchyroll’s diversity brand to internal and external audiences.
- Assists with drafting and delivering internal communications relating to D&I initiatives.
- Partners with PX and other business units to develop initiatives focusing on identifying and attracting internal talent to increase participation and engagement in strategic D&I initiatives/activities.
- Collaborate with other departments as necessary in matters pertaining to but not limited to, supplier diversity, employee relations, corporate communications, learning and development, talent acquisition.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 8+ years of working experience in either D&I or in a relevant business field.
- Demonstrated history of effectively creating and managing programs
- At least 1-2 years exposure to international business
- Knowledge of research methodology including design, implementation and analysis. Able to report findings and develop recommendations.
- Strong quantitative skills. Able to design and conduct research and analysis regarding diversity and inclusion topics
- Familiarity working with domestic and international employee groups
- Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team
- Strategic partner with proven track record of establishing strong, effective partnerships with staffing managers, executives, and operating units
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Excellent project management skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast–paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to proactively share a point of view, appropriately challenge assumptions, consider and adapt to alternative perspectives, and take initiative to drive matters to closure
- Strong creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and intuitive sense of business acumen
- Ability to travel both nationally and internationally
Education:
BA/BS in Human Resources or a directly relevant field. Master's level education is preferred
The anticipated base salary for this position is $163,000 to $204,000 This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
