General Summary:

The Distribution Manager is responsible for securing content licensing agreements across multiple platforms, including Free TV, Local Cable, SVOD, and AVOD. This role also plays a key part in identifying and supporting local opportunities for original co-productions, working closely with internal teams and external partners to expand the company’s content portfolio and regional presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute content licensing strategies across Free TV, SVOD, and AVOD
  • Oversee day-to-day licensing for SPT and third-party content, including films, series, and formats
  • Identify and support local original co-production opportunities
  • Manage licensing budgets in coordination with Sales Planning and TVD Regional Director
  • Build proposals for new businesses using market insights and performance data
  • Negotiate licensing deals, rights, exclusivity windows, and holdbacks
  • Maintain strong relationships with programming and content acquisition teams to ensure a steady content pipeline
  • Create and present sales materials for current and library content
  • Oversee contract administration, renewals, and renegotiations
  • Provide strategic input on new content opportunities aligned with business goals
  • Stay informed on global and regional entertainment trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Finance, Marketing, and Legal

Required Skills and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the media/entertainment industry

Knowledge of:

  • 3+ years of experience in the media/entertainment industry
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Understanding of the media landscape in Latin America

Skill In: 

  • Interpersonal communication with strong oral skills
  • Business development; cold calling and presentation preparation
  • Finding opportunities and proactively developing new proposals
  • Media analytical understanding of quantitative and qualitative
  • Create and maintain a positive working environment
