Based in our Seoul office and reporting to the Marketing Director, this role plays a key part in shaping how Sony Pictures’ theatrical releases connect with Korean audiences across social, digital, and influencer platforms. If you live and breathe film, understand local digital culture, and know how to turn global content into locally relevant conversation, this role is for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and execute social media strategies for all theatrically released titles in cooperation with internal team and agencies.
Manage and approve daily social media postings proposed by digital agencies for all owned media platforms including Sony Pictures Entertainment Korea’s Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, Kakao, and Naver TV channels.
Drive consumer engagement by planning and executing social media events.
Localize all creative assets related to social media postings including video/image social sharables, featurettes, clips, talent interviews, online spots and visual creatives including but not limited to posters.
Devise and execute influencer campaigns including special content creation, local influencer interviews with talents, viral marketing, branded content, etc.
Work closely with key agencies to stay updated on the latest viral trends and report relevant insights to necessary stakeholders.
Lead agencies’ efforts in managing power bloggers and online communities.
Communicate with Home Office as needed for local social media/influencer campaign approval and reporting, as well as executing Home Office-led campaigns.
Plan and execute offline influencer events including but not limited to screenings, talent tours, and exhibitions.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications or business management.
Typically a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in social media marketing and/or film marketing.
Understanding and knowledge of the latest entertainment/digital/social/viral trends.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborative and strong team player. Ability to establish good working relationships with agencies.
Strategic thinker and someone not afraid to think outside of the box.
A strong passion for cinema.
High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
This role is based in South Korea. In order to enable us to meet the statutory and regulatory obligations of the South Korea's immigration system, you must have the appropriate immigration permission needed to work and reside in South Korea for the duration of the employment.
Contract Information
This is a fixed-term contract role, expected to run until September 2027.
